Nice piece. Painting brown for shadows isn't that terrible of a habit. Well, I mean, at least it isn't completely black. Thanks for sharing your demo in the post below (and great piece below that post). It looks solid. Silly question: So you're focusing on being an environment concept artist specializing in matte painting?
OMG, Carmen I saw your show reel, 好勁呀死婆!!
awesome blog!!love your art!!!!love your paintings!!!Cheers!!
i hear they like "the browns" in parts of UTAH! ( i speak da' trufe) perhaps it's time to break out the hideous, environmentally unsound .. OILz!!!!!;-) -kw
getting better and better with each piece. keep it up
Damn that Burnt Umber!Love your portfolio, BTW... I'm jealous of it's proffesionalism and skill.
carmen!! your demo reel kicks ass! I love it! haven't heard from you in a while! where are u now!?!?
yo yo yo. been really quiet here for quite some time now. Busy with work? How's the working life? ;P
Wow, I'm such a fan of your work and website gallery. I was referred to your blog by Shou. I must work harder on matte painting :)
Wow! Really good stuff! Like "really". It was good meeting you yesterday.
I think the browns have helped in giving your paintings an earthly, golden feel. They're very nice... but if you want to force yourself to try something different... you can perhaps try a blue underpainting first before everything else.
